Scientists’ monster cyclone study stars Tampa, 36-foot storms surges
A paper by two atmospheric scientists cites a chance that a gray swan cyclone could hit Tampa this century.
The paper talks about the likelihood of a “gray swan” storm with 235-mph winds swallowing Davis Islands, South Tampa and downtown before the end of the century. Three possible reasons: climate change, location and the odds.
