There was never really any doubt that Brandon would send a huge contingency to the state wrestling tournament next weekend at The Lakeland Center.
It's been the story for almost 20 consecutive years.
This year is no different.
Thirteen of 14 Brandon wrestlers advanced to the state Class 2A-Region 3 tournament next week in Lakeland to defend Brandon's six year consecutive state-title streak.
A team win at state would be the seventh consecutive and 18th overall state title for the program.
The Eagles finished with 304.5 points Saturday, winning the regional title held at Polk Community College. Lake Gibson finished with 139.5 points.
Brandon's title winners include: Eric Grajales (112 pounds), Kyle Keller (119), Kevin Timothy (130, Zaq Berridge (140), Sean Joyce (145), Keith Koziel (152), Tommy Timothy (160), Sean Patrick (171), Clayton Simmons (189) and Phil Uno (215).
Terry Dawson (103) and Joey Cozart (125) finished second and Nick Hutchinson (135) also are headed to state.
Brandon's Joyce will be vying for a fourth state title. He was runner-up his sophomore year, but won a state title during eighth-grade.
Joyce is Florida's first wrestler to win a state title in the eighth-grade, which he won while at Temple Heights Christian in Tampa. In seventh grade he took third in state.
Since transferring to Brandon as a freshman, he was the state champion at 112 pounds, second as a sophomore at 130 pounds and first at state at 145 pounds last year.
