Young Life Golf Tournament
The second annual Young Life Golf Tournament will be April 3 at River Hills Country Club, 3943 New River Hill Parkway in Valrico with registration and a Subway lunch at 11 a.m. Roll call follows at 12:45 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1. Awards and dinner, provided by Outback Steakhouse, are at 5:30. Proceeds from the best ball scramble will benefit Brandon Young Life.
Registration is $125 per person. Fee includes green fees, lunch and dinner, and prizes for hole-in-one, closest to the hole, a putting contest and longest drive. Also, there will be raffles and Pro Shop certificates awarded to first- and second-place winners for net and gross scores.

The ninth annual Mark R. Mahoney Memorial Golf Tournament will be April 7 at the Golf Club at Cypress Creek in Ruskin with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Proceeds from the scramble will benefit the Mark R. Mahoney Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Registration is $75 per person and starts a 6:30. Lunch will follow play. Fee includes green fees, cart, lunch, door prizes and trophies. Awards will be given to longest drive and closest to the pin. There also will be a memorabilia auction.

Brandon Masonic Lodge Charity Golf Classic
The seventh annual Brandon Masonic Lodge Charity Golf Classis will be April 29 at the Golf Club of Cypress Creek, 1011 Cypress Village Blvd. in Ruskin. Registration, lunch and practice begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Dinner will follow play. All proceeds go the Iris and Hubert Allen Scholarship Fund and the Egypt Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund.
Registration is $90 per person and includes lunch and dinner, three refreshment tickets, green fees, cart, golf shirt and prizes.
Ralph Russo Memorial
The 2007 Ralph Russo Memorial Golf Tournament will be May 5 at the Golf Club at Cypress Creek in Ruskin. Players, door prizes and sponsors are needed.
Proceeds benefit the Ralph Russo Memorial Scholarship Fund for students attending the University of Tampa. Registration and lunch for the scramble begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $110 per person, $450 per foursome, which includes a hole sponsorship.
Tournament includes lunch and dinner, an awards ceremony and silent auction with prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin and putting, plus hole-in-one contents for a chance to win a car from Brandon Buick.

Brandon Area Youth Soccer League will host a soccer academy for advanced players age 6-13 April 2-May 23 at J.C. Handley Filed, 3304 S. Kings Ave. The focus of the academy will be total skill development with games played Saturday mornings in April and May.
