Tour brings education, employment assistance to Tampa

The Empowerment Tour, on a 40-city agenda to help people get educated and employed, is in Tampa today.

The program which helps undereducated, underemployed adults focus on careers will take place until 5 p.m. today at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square on the 600 block of Kennedy Boulevard in downtown Tampa.

Sponsored by eLearners.com's Career Stimulus Package Campaign, the event seeks to help adults, many without college degrees, get employed and educated.

The career education program tells people how to access online educational programs and up to $4 million in full-tuition scholarship money.

Career coaching also is available.
