Tampa Tribune to resume 7-day delivery in Pinellas

The Tampa Tribune will resume seven-day home delivery in Pinellas County beginning Monday, the company announced today.

In May, the paper discontinued the service, citing a need to cut costs. The newspaper industry has been hit particularly hard during the recent economic downturn.

Since then, the paper offered home delivery on Sunday and daily papers in stores and racks. Reporters have continued covering news in Pinellas, as well.

"Our return to Pinellas County with full seven-day home delivery circulation emphasizes our commitment to the readers and advertisers in this market and our determination to keep our organization growing, despite the economy," said William Barker, vice president of operations for the Tribune and Florida Communications Group.

Daily home delivery will be available throughout Pinellas County. For information, call 1-800-282-5588 and ask for "Pinellas offers."
