About 100 travel industry officials including representatives from Tampa International Airport, JetBlue Airways, visitors bureaus in Mexico and economic development officials from Hillsborough County gathered in Tampa Thursday evening to discuss strategies to promote JetBlue's Cancun destination from Tampa.
JetBlue began daily non-stop service between Tampa and Cancun in December and hopes to expand leisure and business traffic that so far has met expectations as the peak Mexican tourism season approaches.
