Here's a bit of good news for those weary of negative economic reports: Ikea has begun hiring in Tampa.

Ikea is seeking people in the following areas: home furnishings sales, interior decoration, customer service, safety and security, cashiers, maintenance, goods flow, receiving, warehouse and stock replenishment.

More information is at www.Ikea-usa.com. The Web site has a jobs link at the bottom of the home page. Ikea expects to open its 353,000-square-foot store this summer.
