Discount grocery chain Aldi will hold several hiring events in the Tampa Bay area this month to hire employees for three locations the company is opening in the area.
Aldi advertises generally better wages than other grocery stores. Store manager trainees make $20 per hour, cashiers $10 per hour. And there are medical, dental, vision and 401(k) benefits for employees who work at least 20 hours a week.
Aldi operates relatively smaller stores than other grocery chains and tends to have just a few full-time employees at each location. Aldi will hold three job fairs on Wednesday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Job fair sites and new stores to be staffed are:
Holiday Inn Express
4450 47th St. W., Bradenton (new Bradenton store)
Days Inn-Port Richey
10826 U.S. 19 North, Port Richey (new Port Richey store)
Holiday Inn Express-Clearwater
2580 Gulf to Bay Blvd., Clearwater. (new Bradenton, Seminole and Port Richey stores)
Aldi, based in Batavia, Ill., has more than 1,000 stores in 31 states, primarily from Kansas to the East Coast. For information on the positions, visit www.AldiUScareers.com.
