Free admission to Winter's adventure

If you're not opening up those blue Valpak mailers that come to your house every week or so, you may be missing out on some good deals.

Spotted recently was a coupon for free admission to Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure when you purchase admission to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

Fortunately, you can also get this deal online, through the Valpak website.

Prices for this experience range from $4.95 for kids on up to $7.95 for adults.

$10 aquarium admission for seniors

The entire month of January is Senior Salute Month at The Florida Aquarium. Seniors (age 60 and older) can visit for the discounted admission rate of only $10 with complimentary Danish, coffee or tea. The regular price for seniors is $18.95.

A combination ticket is also available for seniors featuring daily admission and the Wild Dolphin Cruise for only $20.

Parking is not included.

Free MOSI admission for seniors

Senior citizens can enjoy free admission to the Museum of Science and Industry during the 2012 Senior Fun Fest on Thursday, Feb. 23.

To start the event, seniors are invited to preregister for a one mile woods walk. The cost for the walk is $12 for nonmembers and $8 for MOSI members.

The free admission to the museum will begin at 9 a.m. and is open to all seniors, not just those who participate in the walk.

Free health screenings will be provided including glucose checks, bone density, blood pressure, hearing checks and others.

Free Bingo games for prizes, live entertainment, exhibitors and free coffee all day will be available.

$5 day at the zoo coming soon

Mark your calendar for another $5 day at the zoo!

Lowry Park Zoo is offering $5 admission on Sunday, Feb. 19. Children 2 and under are admitted free.

The zoo is open 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Because of the high attendance this day, free parking and shuttle service are available at the Tampa Greyhound Track on Waters Avenue off Interstate 275.
