Various Peanut Products Recalled

Several companies announced voluntary recalls of products containing peanut butter which may also be contaminated with salmonella. They follow hundreds of other recalls of products in which peanut or peanut paste has been traced back to a factory in south Georgia. No reports of illnesses have been reported in the recalls announced today.

These are the products that are part of the recall

*Publix Super Markets is voluntarily recalling its Publix Premium Peanut Brittle No Sugar Added Light Ice Cream . The recalled product has a UPC number of: 41415-27343. Details by phone at 1-800-242-1227.

*Turner Holdings LLC is recalling approximately 2,624 cases of ice cream bars, because they could be contaminated with salmonella, The bars were sold at grocery stores, supermarkets, convenience stores, dollar stores, drug stores and discount stores in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. *Meadow Gold Dairy is recalling select ice cream products, because they could be contaminated with salmonella. The recalled ice cream was available in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Eastern Oregon and Northern Arizona.

*The Hershey Creamery Co. is recalling select ice cream products because they could be contaminated with salmonella. The recalled ice cream was available in Maine, New Hampshire,Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland, District of Columbia, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. The UPC label on the carton can be mailed to the company for a refund.

*Fieldbrook Foods Corp. is updating its earlier recall of select ice cream products to include four more, because they could be contaminated with salmonella. These products were available nationwide, as well as in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Details by phone at 800-333-0805.
