ORLANDO - Someone who burglarized an old auto repair shop got a big surprise - a frozen alligator head stuffed in a garbage bag.
The Prange family, which has owned a brake and alignment shop for 87 years, was storing the head for a friend who planned to mount it.
'We hope he jumps when he opens the garbage bag,' Steve Prange, 55, said of the burglar.
The thief also purloined 30 pounds of frozen kingfish and snapper but little else, police said.
Police spokesman Jim Young said officers would notice anyone with a reptile head.
'They know one's missing,' Young said. 'Taxidermied animals have disappeared before, but this is the first frozen alligator's head I've heard of.'
