Fire At Strip Mall Damages Businesses

A fire at a pool company located in a Riverview-area strip mall damaged three businesses Saturday morning, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue reported.
The cause of the fire, at Paradise Pool at 11645 Boyette Rd, has not been determined.
A sprinkler system had extinguished the fire by the time fire crews arrived to fight it about 9:10 a.m., according to fire rescue spokesman Bruce Delk.
A Hazmat team responded because of chemicals inside the building, Delk said. However, Delk said no chemicals were released as a result of the fire.
There is smoke and water damage to three businesses in the same strip mall, Delk said.
