AUBURNDALE - A Polk County man authorities say hosted a beer party Friday for his son's 21st birthday was arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of minors.

James Wesley Nall, 61, was arrested about 11 p.m. by Polk County sheriff's deputies after they observed about 100 people of various ages wandering around his Auburndale residence at 350 Renssalaer Ave., according to the report. Deputies reportedly saw several kegs of beer, plus empty beer containers scattered about the yard. Nall also was charged with hosting an open house party, the report states.

Of those in attendance, 15 were charged with possession of alcohol by a person under age 21. Also, six juveniles were charged with alcohol possession by a minor and released to their parents, who were summoned to the scene, the report states.

"Providing alcohol to minors is dangerous and is against the law," Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement. "And if we catch you doing it, you will go to jail. When you host an open house party, you put yourself and so many others at risk, and it's just not worth it," he said. "Don't ruin your holiday or anyone else's. Keep your alcohol away from minors."
