Victim In Fatal Shooting Identified

Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting last night on East Caracas Street as Andre Coachman, 19.

Coachman, of 3201 E. Caracas St., died from a single gunshot wound to the head, police said. Police continue to search for three people in connection with the incident, which happened about 8:30 p.m.

Coachman was shot while visiting a friend at 3220 E. Caracas St., police said. They said he was walking in front of the home when a pickup truck drove past and two suspects in the truck bed fired several shots at him. The truck fled west on East Caracas.

Coachman died while being taken to Tampa General Hospital. Police had no motive for the shooting. The investigation continues.

The suspects range in age from 13 to 19, police said. The truck was described as a black, 1990-model Ford F-150 pickup with tinted windows, a flair front end, silver bottom and stock rims.
