Christmas In July In Reverse
Have a summer-themed holiday party. Keep warm by grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. Use palm tree decorations instead of holly and fir trees. Make some Santa Sangria.
Sweater Soiree
You know that awful reindeer sweater your Aunt Mary gave you last year? Put it to use by throwing a holiday sweater party. Have everyone wear their holiday sweaters. Give prizes for the best and worst. Make sure you take photos of everyone so you can make a holiday sweater scrapbook.
You Don't Want That?
At a regifting party, you can trade in that beautiful candle set you never use for that weird cuckoo clock your friend never uses. Have everyone bring a gift they got from someone but didn't want. Then everyone can trade for something they'd rather have. (Warning: Make sure you know the person who originally gave you the gift will not be at the party.)
A Taste Of The Holidays
This is a great idea to enjoy all the winter holidays at once. Have guests bring their favorite holiday dishes. You can pig out on latkes, Christmas cookies and a variety of African cuisine.
Gathering To Give
Forget about those $5 gift exchanges. Have your partygoers bring canned food or toys for needy children. If you're feeling really ambitious, ask your guests to bring their old clothing, bedding and toiletries to donate to a homeless shelter.
