The cover photo alone looks tempting enough to eat.
A basket filled with fruit and "other home-grown edible treasures" is nestled beside a carafe of orange juice on a sand dune along a sunny beach.
Inside the 182-page "Simply Florida" cookbook are 214 kitchen-tested recipes offering "a taste of flavors from the Sunshine State." Accompanying each recipe are a nutritional analysis, food safety tips and handy substitutions.
Chapters are devoted to "Flavorful Beef," "Tasty Pork, Poultry & More," "A Taste of the Seas," "A Bountiful Harvest of Nuts, Beans & Grains," "Delicious Dairy Dishes," "Sun-Ripened Fruits" and "Farm Fresh Vegetables."
