Gulf's boys soccer team has forfeited four matches this season due to an ineligible player, Buccaneers athletic director Paul Girardi said Monday.
The ineligible player, who did not have sufficient grades, dressed for Gulf's Nov. 14 match against Zephyrhills, Nov. 15 at Hernando, Nov. 19 against Nature Coast, and Nov. 28 against Wiregrass Ranch, according to Girardi.
Girardi said the player is no longer on the team and never should have been on the team because he did not have good enough grades to play.
