Body Found On Riverbank In Tampa Neighborhood

Tampa police are investigating a body found on the shores of the Hillsborough River early Wednesday morning.

TAMPA - Police are investigating the discovery this morning of a body along the Hillsborough River in a residential neighborhood.
The body was on the riverbank near North River Shore Drive and West Hiawatha Street, just south of Sligh Avenue. It was not in the river, witnesses said.
There may be a connection to the discovery of a woman found shot dead in the doorway of a home on Flora Street on Tuesday night, police spokeswoman Andrea Davis says.
