PORT RICHEY - One of three people sought in connection with a home invasion in October was arrested Monday, according to a Pasco County sheriff's report.
Raymond Thomas Iannuzzi, 53, of 9523 Towanda Lane, is charged with home invasion robbery and kidnapping. He was being held at the Land O' Lakes Jail with bail set at $200,000.
Investigators say Iannuzzi and two women in their 20s forced their way into the home of 23-year-old Amber DeSimone about midnight on Oct. 26.
One of the women drew a knife, held it to DeSimone's throat and forced her into a Jeep Liberty. Iannuzzi and the women drove DeSimone to a house in New Port Richey, where they believed she was keeping items she had stolen from them. "This is probably a case of trying to take the law in your own hands," sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said.
He said DeSimone had her purse and cell phones taken.
Witnesses identified Iannuzzi as the driver of the SUV, according to a report. After his arrest, Iannuzzi admitted driving the Jeep and being present during the invasion, Tobin said.
Investigators are still looking for the two women.
