TARPON SPRINGS - Nearly 100 cats were removed on Thursday from 759 Seminole Blvd. for unsanitary conditions in the home, Pinellas County Animal Services said.
The odor could be smelled from the street and the conditions were "unimaginable," police said.
One cat was found dead and authorities may return today to get remaining cats, police said.
Animal Control Officers and police went to the house at 12:19 p.m. There were three adults living with over 97 cats, police said. One of the adults was taken to a hospital, police said.
The names and conditions of the adults living in the home will not be released by law enforcement due to issues that are of a confidential nature.
There are no criminal charges pending at this time.
