Crash In Brooksville Sends 4 Teens To Hospital

Four teenagers were taken to a hospital after a car crash in Brooksville on Thursday night.
Amanda Pappert, 16, of 9484 Vancouver Road, Spring Hill, drove through a red light at the intersection of California Street and Powell Road, a witness told Florida Highway Patrol investigators.
Another car, which had a green light, struck Pappert's car, pushing it into a traffic signal control box and causing the vehicle to overturn, troopers said.
Pappert and her three passengers, Megan Bailey, 16, Ronnie Parrott, 15, and Grant Aleo, 15, were taken to Tampa General Hospital. A nursing supervisor would not release any information on the teenagers.
The driver of the second car, Mary Labarr, 56, was taken to Brooksville Regional Hospital. The extent of her injuries was not known.
