ARDHA MATSYENDRASANA (HALF LORD OF THE FISHES POSE)
This pose helps relieve sciatica, fatigue and backache; energizes the spine; and stretches the shoulders, hips and neck.
1. Sit on a mat with your legs in front of you and hands by your sides. Your fingers should be pointed behind you.
2. Bend your knees and slide your left foot under your right leg to the outside of your right hip. Lay the outside of your left leg on the floor. Step your right foot onto the outside of your left hip. Exhale and twist to the right. Keep your right hand on the floor near your hip, and rest your upper left arm on your right knee with your fingers toward the sky. Look over your right shoulder.
