Busch Blvd. Pedestrian Killed

Tampa police are investigating an accident that killed a female pedestrian early Friday morning.

TAMPA - Drivers should avoid eastbound Busch Boulevard between Nebraska Avenue and North 12th Street because of a fatal accident involving a pedestrian, police said.

Tampa police are investigating the accident, which killed a female pedestrian in her 40s at 6:49 a.m. Police had closed all but one lane eastbound on Busch.

This is not a hit-and-run; the driver involved stopped at a nearby business to call 911, police said.
