TRINITY - Imagining that this carefully crafted "city" was Bethlehem at the time of Jesus' birth took a leap of faith.
But wasn't that the point?
Hundreds of visitors were drawn to Hope United Methodist Church last weekend to walk the streets where they imagined Mary and Joseph trod; to chat with shopkeepers and Roman soldiers; to hear how three kings followed a star to adore a babe in swaddling clothes; to meet Elizabeth, cousin to Mary and mother of John the Baptist; to see the manger where Jesus lay; and, perhaps, to stand at the prayer wall and accept him as their savior.
About 300 volunteers spent several months pulling the annual Bethlehem experience together, and it took a cast of 100 or more to breathe life into the four-night run.
