Rent Spat Spurs Knife Attack, Hillsborough Deputies Say

TAMPA - An argument about a Tampa man's unpaid rent led him to attack his roommates with a large kitchen knife, Hillsborough County deputies say.

Marvin Sevilla-Orellana, 32, was arrested at home late Sunday morning.

Sevilla-Orellana cut two roommates' hands and arms, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said. The roommates were treated at the scene and didn't need further medical attention.

Sevilla-Orellana, of 2106 Colonial Parc Drive, Unit 204, faces two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Sevilla-Orellana left jail today.
