Johnson
Roberts Communications has added two new employees, Meggan Mabry, associate account executive, and Sarah Johnson, art director. Mabry holds a bachelor's degree in public relations. Johnson previously worked for Moxie Sozo Design & Advertising in Boulder, Colo.

BANKING/ FINANCE

BB&T has promoted Michael Benetto to assistant vice president. Benetto, who joined the bank in 2006, is a financial center leader at BB&T's U.S. 19 North location in Port Richey.

Thompson

Rolfe G. Thompson has joined GTE Federal Credit Union as vice president and controller. Prior to joining the credit union, Thompson was general manager of internal controls at CP Ships USA and manager of general accounting at Hapag-Lloyd USA LLC.

CONSULTING

BCI Engineers & Scientists Inc. has announced the addition of two staff members filling new positions. Ann Sava recently completed her master of science degree in geology at USF and joined the BCI team as a geologist with the Insurance Services Group. She will be based in the Lakeland office, and her primary role will be conducting sinkhole investigations throughout Central Florida. The Insurance Services Group also welcomed Laurie Mershon as production assistant in the Lakeland office. After working as fire and aviation program assistant in Grand Canyon National Park, Mershon moved back to Florida and worked as the youth minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

DESIGN/ ENGINEERING

Prattco Inc. Roofing & Sheet Metal has announced several new appointments: Robert R. Solomon is vice president and oversees green roofing technology and community affairs; Jerry Justice is general manager and is responsible for purchasing, and operational and installation procedures; Ken Lepore is director of business development and is responsible for developing and maintaining commercial client value and quality control.

Rogers

Hardy

Stuart Rogers has been named chief operating officer and Michael Hardy has been named chief financial officer of Hamilton Engineering & Surveying Inc. Rogers joined Hamilton in 2006 as director of engineering. Hardy has 10 years of civil engineering expertise and has been employed with Hamilton since graduating from the University of South Florida in 1996.

BSW International has announced two staff additions at the firm's Tampa office. Ken Mathewson has rejoined BSW's Tampa team as electrical designer, bringing five years of design experience. Brian Shimoura has joined the firm as a civil engineer and is part of the firm's expansion plan to heavily staff up the civil engineering team across its six offices nationwide.

Hall

Amanda Hall has joined BayCare Health System as an administrative fellow. She is a recent graduate of the University of South Florida MBA program.

HONORS

Sharon Corley, general sales manager for four Pulte Homes communities in the Tampa Bay area, has been named sales manager of the year by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Tampa Bay Builders Association. Corley's selection was based on the success of multiple communities, both in sales and closings, as well as her management of the sales staff.

Gavalas

Debbie Gavalas, development director for the Child Abuse Council, was elected president of the Suncoast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Other officers include: Grant Martin, president-elect; Robb Resler, immediate past president; Lynn Hoy, secretary; and Janet Ware, treasurer.

REAL ESTATE

Sheryl Palmer has been chosen chief executive officer for Taylor Morrison. Palmer previously served as executive vice president for Morrison Homes' western region.

OTHER

John Rutan was hired at Alltrust Insurance as senior vice president of sales. Rutan is responsible for managing the sales team as well as business development. Prior to joining Alltrust, Rutan was the vice president of small business sales and account management at United Healthcare, responsible for the Central and North Florida Market.
