SOUTH PASADENA - A man wearing a toupee, sunglasses and a dark gray tweed sports coat robbed a Wachovia Bank branch this morning, Pinellas County sheriff's officials said.
The robbery occurred just after 9 a.m. at 1101 Pasadena Ave. S., officials said.
Detectives say the man entered the bank and presented a note to a teller, demanding cash. The teller complied, and the man left with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said. He last was seen behind a shopping center across the street from the bank.
He is a white male in his late 30s, is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, authorities said.
