TAMPA - An ice storm that has delayed flights from Oklahoma to Michigan has had little effect on operations at Tampa International Airport, although about 10 flights from Tampa to various U.S. destinations were listed as delayed this afternoon.
Southwest Airlines canceled an early evening flight from Tampa to Kansas City. The longest delay was an American Airlines flight that left an hour and 25 minutes late for Dallas-Fort Worth, according to the airport's Web site, at www.tampaairport.com.
The Federal Aviation Administration's Air Traffic Control System Command Center, which shows real-time airport information online at www.flyfaa.gov, also showed normal operations at Tampa.
Arrivals at Chicago's O'Hare International continue to be delayed by as much as 90 minutes by icy conditions, and flights into Newark Liberty International Airport also were arriving late, the FAA reported.
