Holiday greetings can be as personal as the sender wants, if they opt for creating their own cards.
"Digital cameras and computers have made it so easy, you can literally sit at the computer and do this whole thing in your pajamas," says Cheryl Sawicki, a Detroit stay-at-home mom who has been creating personalized greeting cards since she was a newlywed 11 years ago.
It started as a way to show the couple's friends and family their new home, and it blossomed into a way to chronicle their family.
Personalized greeting cards, postcards, calendars and more can double as gifts.

•People can personalize cards without using a computer by taking the desired film or digital image to a myriad of photo printing places.
•It usually costs about $1.20 to $2.50 per card, depending on the number ordered and complexity of the style. Usually, envelopes come with the cards.
