Strawberry Festival Online Ticketing Site Taken Offline

PLANT CITY - The Florida Strawberry Festival's online ticketing system has been taken offline as technicians work to fix problems that have plagued it since Monday.

Tickets to the festival's headline concerts were supposed to be available online starting 8 a.m. Monday at www.flstrawberryfestival.com, but the system has been up and running only sporadically. This afternoon, a festival spokeswoman said she had no estimate when the system would again be back in operation.

She apologized for the inconvenience.

Some online users did manage to place orders but were frustrated by system failures, the spokeswoman said. Customers who didn't get confirmation of online purchases or experienced other problems may call a new toll-free customer service number, 1-866-352-2842.

However, that number is only for those who experienced online ticket order problems.

Customers who weren't able to get through online must call the festival ticket office, (813) 754-1996, to order tickets.

This is the second year in a row the festival has had trouble with its online tickets.

Tickets are also available at the festival's ticket office at 2209 W. Oak Ave., Plant City.
