TAMPA - Present-buying procrastinators might have an easier time with their long-distance gift giving this year because post offices are offering extended weekend hours for the holidays.
The U.S. Postal Service recommends mailing parcel post by Saturday, priority mail by Dec. 20 and express mail by Dec. 22 to ensure gifts arrive before Christmas.
"We encourage Tampa customers to mail early and to ship all their holiday presents with the Postal Service," Postmaster Nancy Fryrear said.
These Tampa offices will be open until 4 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Dec. 22
