(On if the Falcons having a +5 turnover ratio is a sign of a dangerous defense)
''Yeah. They're number-one in the NFL in third down. You couple that with their turnover ratio and their blitz potential on every snap and the fact that they do have a lot of good players. I'm really impressed with the job they've done defensively. We've got to be ready to go, there's no question.''
(On how Jeff Garcia has looked in practice)
''He took every snap today. We tried to simulate as much speed as we could and I thought he looked sharp.''
(On if Garcia's experience comes into play after missing several games)
''He's basically missed three full games. Fortunately he is experienced and we're going to have to lean on that experience in these types of situations.''
(On if veterans are stressing to younger players the significance of winning a division title)
''I think they understand that. It's hard to win. There are a lot of teams that haven't won a division title in 10 years, 20 years, 15 years, whatever. You want to qualify, to win your division and maybe get a chance to make the playoffs and get a home field playoff game. That's a great step to getting to the only bowl game in our business.''
(On Donald Penn and John Abraham)
''John's a great player. That's one of the reasons why he was a first-round draft choice and they gave up what they gave up to get him. They've got another first-rounder on the other side who's getting better every week. They're talented, so we're going to need Penn to play better than he did in Atlanta, there's no question.''
(On if the Falcons' play-calling will change with a new head coach)
''They're going to, I'm sure, do some things that they would have done had he not been calling the plays. That's the way it usually is. We'll have to respond to it. We're not going to do everything the same way we did it last time against them either, so I guess it will work both ways. But that's something we've concerned ourselves with.''
(On Garcia getting latitude considering his experience)
''Any quarterback that starts here has some latitude to give us some feedback. We're going to try to do what's best for the quarterbacks. Any other quarterbacks that are out there listening, we try to do things to help you be the most successful you can be. We try to be as accommodating as we can and we do try to set some parameters, obviously. There's a lot that goes into it.''
