KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Candace Parker scored a season-high 34 points and Alexis Hornbuckle added 17 to help top-ranked Tennessee (8-0) to an 84-61 win against Middle Tennessee (3-5) on Thursday night.
Tennessee starting point guard Shannon Bobbitt was bleeding from a forehead laceration when leaving the court with 9:06 left. She didn't return.
TEXAS TECH 73, ARIZONA ST. 69: Dominic Seals scored 16 of her career-high 20 points in the second half to help host Texas Tech (10-1) beat No. 18 Arizona State (5-4). Jill Noe scored a season-high 20 points for Arizona State.
CRASH MEMORIAL: The University of Evansville held a memorial service to mark the 30th anniversary of an airplane crash that killed 29 people, including the entire men's basketball team. The team plane, a twin-engine DC-3, crashed in rain and heavy fog on Dec. 13, 1977.
