Authorities are searching for two men who robbed a Publix supermarket Saturday at 7018 Waters Ave, Hillsborough County sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
At 9 a.m., an armored truck delivery person was handing two bags of cash to the store manager in the front of the store where the safe is located. Two armed men entered the store, pushed the manager to the side and reached into the safe for the bags. They then ran from the store.
There were no injuries.
Both were black males about 5-feet-11-inches tall, 170 to 180 pounds and wore all dark clothing with T-shirts wrapped around their faces, Carter said. Deputies do not have a vehicle description other than a gray or silver Lincoln or Mercury.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
