TAMPA - Saturday's three commencement ceremonies at the University of South Florida's Sun Dome awarded degrees to about 1,800 graduates, spokesman Sean Ledig said.
The graduates ranged in age from 19-year-old Olena Likhachova, with a bachelor of science in business economics, to 74-year-old Eileen DeCosmo, with a bachelor of arts in English literature.
Honors graduates included 39 summa cum laude, 143 magna cum laude and 215 cum laude.
Regional campuses' commencement ceremonies will be held today through Tuesday in Sarasota, Lakeland and St. Petersburg. When this year's fall commencement ceremonies end, the university will have awarded 3,656 degrees: 2,663 bachelors, 883 masters, and 111 doctorates and specialists.
Last December, 3,337 graduates earned degrees from USF's four campuses during the fall commencement ceremonies.
