They aren't the same teams that met for college basketball's national championship 8 1/2 months ago in Atlanta.
Not even close.
That said, when Florida and Ohio State tip off in Columbus with a national audience looking on, it will be interesting to see how the young Gators respond to playing in an opponent's arena for the first time this season.
Ten of the Gators' first 12 games this season are at the O'Connell Center in Gainesville, including Wednesday against Charleston Southern. The other two were in Tampa (against Vermont) and Jacksonville (against Georgia Southern).
Of UF's 15 nonconference games leading up to the Jan. 8 Southeastern Conference opener at Alabama, only the Ohio State game will be played outside state lines.
With a squad made up mostly of freshmen and sophomores and no starters returning, Saturday's trip surely will help to get Coach Billy Donovan's team ready for the rigors of SEC play.
