TEMPLE TERRACE - The Temple Terrace City Council has approved a plan it hopes will take the community closer to revitalizing a blighted 17.5-acre commercial area southeast of Busch Boulevard and 56th Street.
The council voted Tuesday night to sell the property to developer Ram/Pinnacle for $15.4 million.
Plans call for the developer to transform the area into a New Urbanism-style project including residential, office, commercial and civic elements.
A development agreement is expected to be signed by April 1, and the closing date on the property sale is slated for July 1.
