The following Bay area restaurants will be open during the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

•Formaggio's Italian Restaurant, 19531 Boyette Road, Lithia, will serve a four-course meal on New Year's Eve, with two glasses of wine or beer per person, dessert and coffee. A champagne toast and party favors also will be available at midnight. Cost: $50 per person. For reservations, call (813) 643-1415.

•Fly Bar & Restaurant, 1202 N. Franklin St., Tampa, will offer a seven-course tasting menu on New Year's Eve created by new chef Rene Caceres. Menu choices will include Lobster Bisque, Smoked Dayboat Scallop, Black Tobiko Caviar, Glazed Wild Mushrooms, Maple Leaf Duck and Pepper-Crusted Rack of Venison. The cost is $75 without wine pairing, $100 with a pairing. For information and reservations, call (813) 275-5000.

•The Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City and six other locations are accepting reservations for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. To find out about hours and locations, go to columbia

•Six Tables Tampa, 4267 Henderson Blvd., will feature a New Year's Eve menu prepared by chef and owner Richard Bottini.

The menu will include Seared Sea Scallops over an English pea puree, Lobster Bisque or Beet Consomme With Caraway Dumplings, Grilled Endive and Fennel Salad With Black-Eyed Peas Over Foie Gras Drizzled With Bartlett Pear Vinaigrette and such entrees as Lamb Loin en Croute With Rosemary Demi-Glace, Filet Mignon With Shiitake Butter and Roast Duckling With Sugarplum Glaze.

The menu will be served on New Year's Eve during two seatings, at 6 and 9:15. The prix fixe menu is $110, excluding beverages, tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.

•Bob Heilman's Beachcomber restaurant, 447 Mandalay Ave., Clearwater Beach, will be open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with a special menu for each.

Bobby's Bistro also will be open Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, with a special menu for the New Year's Eve festivities. For reservations, call (727) 442-4144.

•Pelagia Trattoria, 4200 Jim Walter Blvd., next to the Renaissance Tampa Hotel International Plaza, will be open Christmas and New Year's Eve with a new menu by executive chef Fabrizio Schendardi.
