BRADENTON - A man reportedly stalked a woman for several hours, following her on the bus, before attacking her outside her home hours later.
The woman had her jewelry stolen and clothes torn off when the man robbed her outside of her home on Monday evening.
The victim had noticed the suspect following her earlier in the day as she took different buses around Bradenton. The man then waited several hours outside her home and then attacked her, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. No arrests have been made.
The victim had been shopping at Walgreens about 10:30 a.m. Monday and got on a bus there to go home. She first saw the suspect when he got on the bus at the Blake Hospital stop and began talking with her.
When she realized she was on the wrong bus, she got off to take another. He followed her.
She got off the second bus at 63rd Avenue East and 15th Street East, and walked home.
Just before dark, she went outside to have a cigarette. The man appeared and was armed with a knife. He threw her to the ground and took her six rings and two necklaces.
Then, he used the knife to tear off her pants and shirt.
He told her he would kill her if she told any one. She managed to get away and run inside her house.
