LAND O' LAKES - The Pasco County School Board has announced principals for two new schools that will open in August.
Christopher Christoff, principal of Seven Springs Middle, will transfer to Crews Lake Middle, which is being built in Shady Hills.
Donna Busby, principal at Moon Lake Elementary, will become principal at Veterans Elementary, which is under construction in Wesley Chapel.
Christoff has worked in Pasco County since 1994, when he was hired as a substitute teacher. Two years later, he became a full-time teacher at Seven Springs Middle and later he served as assistant principal at that school before being promoted to principal in 2004.
Christoff earned a bachelor's degree at the University of South Florida and a master's from National-Louis University.
Busby began her career in 1971 in Oakwood, Ill. She came to Pasco in 1984, working at Cypress, Calusa, Gulfside and Sanders Memorial elementary schools before becoming an assistant principal at Moon Lake Elementary in 1990.
She later worked as an assistant principal at schools in Texas and Arizona before returning to Pasco in 2001 as assistant principal at Marlowe Elementary. In 2002, she became Moon Lake's principal.
Busby holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Southern Illinois University. She also holds master's degrees in reading education and educational leadership from the University of South Florida.
