TAMPA - Police do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman whose decomposed body was found in a vacant house near Ybor City on Wednesday.
The medical examiner on Thursday identified the body as Andrea Adkins Tolliver, 39. Tampa police said Tolliver had no known address. She had several trespassing and prostitution charges, according to jail records.
Tolliver's sister reported her missing on Nov. 29, after not hearing from her since Nov. 1.
Police found the body Wednesday in a closet at 2303 N. 23rd St. after people reported a suspicious odor.
The medical examiner found no outward signs of trauma or visible injury to Tolliver. Toxicology results are pending to determine how she died, police said.
Tolliver's sister, Lilnetta Adkins, said it was difficult to find out about her death. Adkins said she's raising three of her sister's five children. Adkins recalled happier times when her sister was a homeowner, held family night on Thursdays and would take the children out.
"This hurts, you know," Adkins said. "She was a good person."
