The Pasco Elite All Star Cheerleaders' senior and junior teams brought home awards from the Central Florida Regional Cheerleading competition in Orlando, presented by Spirit Cheer.
The senior team took first place in the Small Senior Level 3 Division. The squad has 12 members from Pasco County: Cailin Clawson, Emily Clinkscale, Mercedes Fretz, Brittany Kirchoff, Jerrica Langer, Kayla Lewis, Amanda Maar, Faith Obradovich, Mickala Ricker, Sierra Schippan, Kaitlyn Smith and Katie Ziegel.
The junior team placed third place in the Small Junior Level 2 Division. That squad consists of Katherine Coleman, Melissa Figueroa, Kaylee Green, Katelyn Haus, Brittany Kirchoff, Meredith Krautner, Meghan McCrann and Faith Obradovich.
Pasco Elite offers training in cheerleading and tumbling for all ages and ability levels. The program's teams compete locally and across Florida.
During their offseason, the Pasco Elite Cheerleaders were invited to Universal Studios in Orlando to appear as extras in the movie "Bring It On: In It To Win It." In the film, a brawl erupts when a Southern California girl and her West High Sharks clash at Cheer Camp Nationals with a New Yorker and her East High Jets.
In other news, Pasco Elite is organizing a special needs cheerleading team for athletes of all ages with mild to moderate disabilities.
