HUDSON - A home health worker is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from elderly patients in her care.
Ann Marie West, 38, of 12625 Shadow Ridge Blvd., Hudson, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of scheming to defraud, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.

West, who worked at Bayshore Health and Home Services in Holiday, also goes by Ann Marie Coonradt, records said.

The sheriff's office on Thursday morning released reports about two cases relating to West. Sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said Thursday afternoon that two more possible victims had come forward.

"We anticipate more charges in the case," he said.

West is accused of cashing three forged checks totaling $1,475 from an elderly man's bank account between Nov. 4 and Nov. 13, a sheriff's report said.

She also is accused of charging more than $2,440 on another person's Visa card between Sept. 20 and Nov. 26, a sheriff's report said.

No other reports relating to West had been completed Wednesday evening, Tobin said.

She was released from the Land O' Lakes Jail early Thursday, after posting $10,000 bail.

Tony Bunevitch, a human resources manager at Bayshore, said West no longer worked for the company, but said he couldn't discuss her employment or the charges against her. Other Bayshore officials were unavailable for comment.

"Since four people have come forward, we're a little concerned that there may be more" victims, Tobin said.

Anyone with information is asked to call sheriff's Detective William Lindsey at 1-800-854-2862, Ext. 7294.
