Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies still are searching for three horses taken from a farm in Frostproof.
On the night of Dec. 12, a fence was cut at 155 Sand Pine Trail and three horses were loaded on a horse trailer and taken, sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Rodgers said. The animals are American Quarter Horse Association team penning-reining horses.
Missing are: Missy, a dark brown bay mare, 15 hands high, medium build, with a sock on her left rear foot and a star and snip on her face; Harley, a brown sorrel mare, 15.2 hands high, stocky, with a WW brand on her left hip, socks on both feet and a broken stripe on her face; and Perky, a brown sorrel gelding, 14.2 hands high, stocky build, with a WW brand on his left hip, sock on his right rear foot and stripe on his face.
