Deputies Accuse Man Of Fourth DUI

Hillsborough County deputies arrested a Tampa man early Saturday and charged him with felony driving under the influence for the fourth time.
Lance R. Baptiste, 45, has three prior convictions for DUI in 1996, 1988 and 1984, the arrest report said.
At 2:15 a.m., Deputy Kevin Stabins stopped a car at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard at 42nd Street, the report said.
The deputy wrote in an arrest report that the driver, Baptiste, 45, smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and failed a field sobriety test. He refused to take a breath test, the report said.
This was the second time Baptiste has refused to submit to a breath test, and so deputies charged him with a misdemeanor for the refusal, the report said.
