With an "Old Florida'' ambiance, homes that are designed to meet almost any expectation and an amenities package that's "second to none," Grand Hampton has rapidly become a favored place to live among Bay area home buyers, says Jim Doyle.
Now LandMar Group, the community's developer, is adding an amenity to the mix, says Doyle, vice president of sales and marketing.
"Through January, residents and people who contract to buy a new home on or before Jan. 31 will get half off the initiation fee toward a regional invitational membership at the only Pete Dye golf course in the area at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville," Doyle says.
"It's a fantastic opportunity to be a member of an exceptional course, which was ranked one of the top 50 best new golf courses and one of the top 100 best residential courses in America by Golfweek," says Grady Miars, regional manager for LandMar. "It's a regional membership that offers an already reduced fee and lower dues and its location is just 40 minutes from Grand Hampton."
The golf club membership includes access to the course, practice area, short course, clubhouse, spa and fitness center, tennis courts and swimming pool. It also lets members reserve tee times up to 10 days in advance and includes guest privileges with preferred rates, unlimited golf play with a cart fee only, access to all golf, social functions and golf tournaments, merchandise discounts, handicap services and unlimited range balls at the practice facility.
"LandMar and our affiliated golf management company Hampton Golf offer one of the best reciprocal membership programs in the Southeast," Miars says. "Members have access to play all nine of our championship courses, many of which are private, at preferred rates and tee times."
With a variety of other amenities, including free outdoor concerts, residents of Grand Hampton can find plenty of ways to entertain themselves without leaving the community, says Maura Lear, marketing coordinator at Grand Hampton.
"When Outpost Point opens, residents will be able to explore Cypress Creek by kayak or canoe. We'll also have a treehouse playground for the children, a variety of parks and green space and an extensive nature trail where residents can see plenty of Old Florida wildlife and vegetation,'' she adds.
The amenity package is one of the factors that has drawn residents to Grand Hampton, Miars says.
"The Hampton Club amenity center has something for everyone,'' he says. "The LandMar lifestyles team offers expansive programming with a full-time lifestyle director on-site to make sure every opportunity is available for residents to meet and become friends and neighbors.''
When complete, Grand Hampton will have about 1,100 homes offered by some of the area's most well-known builders. Homes provide 1,300 to more than 5,000 square feet of living space and include details such as wide front porches and in-law suites over garages. Homes are priced from the low $200,000s to more than $1 million, including lot.
Almost half the land in the gated community has been set aside for green space and nature preserves, Doyle says.
"It's a beautiful setting that is unparalleled in the area,'' he says. "It's the best of two worlds — peaceful Old Florida in the middle of vibrant New Tampa."
Grand Hampton is on County Line Road, just west of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. The information center is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
