TEMPLE TERRACE - After pushing his father and causing him to fall, James Brandon Baker of Temple Terrace went to his backyard and used a revolver to fire five .38-caliber rounds into the air, police say.
Temple Terrace police arrested Baker, 23, on Sunday.
He was charged with discharging a firearm within city limits, discharging a firearm under the influence and battery.
Baker pushed his father about 1 a.m. Sunday, causing the man to fall, a criminal arrest affidavit says. His father's left arm struck a piece of furniture, leaving a 4-inch scrape and bruising along the forearm.
An officer detected alcohol on Baker's breath and said Baker's speech was slurred, according to the affidavit.
He remained in Orient Road Jail on Sunday. Bail was not set.
