Overpowering at the point of attack. Plays with great leverage and footwork for an interior lineman. Fought through some injuries and remained productive. Uses his hands very effectively. Had 54 tackles – 14 tackles for a loss – and nine sacks. Three-year starter. "He's a big-time run stuffer,'' Statesboro coach Steve Pennington said. "He's just a tower of strength on the inside. He's going to dictate the outcome of the play.'' Picked for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Super 11 team. Finalist for Georgia's Gatorade Player of the Year award. Selected for the Jan. 5 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
