Freakish ability on both sides of the ball, but projects as an edge pass-rusher. Had 97 tackles – and 33 tackles for losses – plus 14 sacks, four fumble recoveries and seven blocked kicks. Also rushed for 1,215 yards and 17 touchdowns. "Daquan actually returned kickoffs for us,'' Bamberg-Ehrhardt coach Ron Duncan said. "I've never seen anything like it. And probably never will again.'' Started 50 consecutive games in high school and never missed a practice. "We probably haven't blocked him once in the last four years,'' said Andy Palmer, coach of rival Edisto High. South Carolina's Gatorade Player of the Year. Runs 4.57 in the 40-yard dash. Has a bench-press of 385 pounds and squats 600 pounds. Has 3.1 grade-point average.
