Four-year starter widely known as one of the state's top defensive enforcers at safety. One of the best prospects from a school that routinely produces top-flight Division I-A defensive backs. Had 50 tackles and three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. Runs 4.6 in the 40-yard dash. Led Palm Beach County area with seven interceptions as a sophomore. "Karnell loves contact,'' Atlantic coach Andre Thaddies said. "He's a football player. When the ball is thrown in his area, you usually see a collision and somebody's helmet popping off. After a while, you tend to not see the ball being thrown in his area very often. He's an intimidator.''
